SERVICES

All therapy services begin with a brief 20 minute consultation that is free of charge to see what services you may benefit from or are interested in and to see if we are a good fit or if we need to refer out to another resource. This is usually done by phone but can be through video or text if requested.

INDIVIDUAL CHILD, YOUTH AND ADULTS

Fee $ 150* per 50 minute session 
limited sliding scale available/ student discount spots available please inquire

personal one-on-one counselling where we will talk about your concerns and together come up with a treatment plan to meet goals and needs.  Don't know exactly what's wrong? That is very common! Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with everything its too much in our heads.

Together we can explore your situation and discover blocks leading to feeling stuck. We work from various approaches ( see about section) that offer different perspectives and facets to bring resolve to challenges you face. Let's connect to find out how.

BRIEF THERAPY / SINGLE SESSION

Fee is  $200* student rate may apply to those who qualify 
This service can also be claimed for taxes or partially or fully covered under certain benefits.

A Single Session is a one time 1.5 hour counselling therapy session that is specific to a goal and solution focused. It is a strengths-based therapy designed to focus on accessing existing resources and strengths to explore and find solutions to help you feel unstuck. This can be really useful in situations where you might be having difficulty making a decision on something really important.


This is also a great option for those not wanting to commit to ongoing therapy due to time or other factors although you are welcome to choose this at a later time.

FAMILY AND PARENT COACHING

Fee $150 to $180* per 50 minute session 
limited sliding scale and student discount available

Parent coaching can be especially helpful when you are dealing with a very specific behaviour challenge and would like help achieving a specific goal using evidence based models. 

Family counselling is an option if all family members are willing to participate, and are not in high conflict. (i.e. dealing with court processes or lawyers/mediators). I work from a family systems approach which looks at the family as a whole and how it affects individual members of that family. 

*Fees at the higher end are for more complex family cases which will be assessed at time of intake/consult.

WHAT TO EXPECT: GETTTING STARTED

The process and how it works:

Getting started is as easy as a quick call or email or by joining Noustalk directly from my website on the contact page. 

You will have full access to my calendar and can book yourself right in as a free consult, and from there a first session at your preference.

First time to therapy can be nerve-wracking! I make it as natural and seamless as possible making it feel easy and calm like talking to a trusted friend rather than feeling interrogated. You only ever have to share what you are comfortable with and I will never be forceful with information. 

In the first session we will build a brief assessment where we talk about what your concerns are I may ask you to share relevant details from your history, which is an important part of understanding your story and the unique perspectives you bring. We will work together to identify SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound) goals and select the therapeutic approaches that will best meet your needs.

The work we do may end up being brief and short term goal focused or more exploratory and longer in length as needed. At the end of the day you decide what you need and what works best for you. That is the client centred collaborative approach I stand by and I take pride in building meaningful connections and modeling healthy relationships for my clients.
