So with the news of new covid cases increasing, and worries for the holiday season, I think it is safe to say we can expect an altered holiday season this year, which means we will need to make some adjustments in order to have a more festive holiday, and find new and creative ways to stay connected to family, friends and loved ones.
One amazing highlight from this pandemic has been the incredible generosity and giving seen by those all around, in their communities and alike and the creativity that follows.
Below are some great ideas
Decorate as Festively as possible: since you will be spending more time at home over the holidays it is important to make it as warm and inviting as possible and you can do it on a budget or as a fun family diy project repurposing old items and recycling, just add paint! check out https://youtu.be/z0IOVA6rrvc
Bake up a storm, and share your holiday treats with friends and family either on the porches or in other creative ways.
Consider mailing gifts or cards to loved ones instead. You can get pretty creative and send care packages, or just a card full of warm wishes and greetings, especially to elders who are at more risk and maybe can't see their families.
Host a virtual party! Since we know we can't get together with those outside our household, and we want to keep others safe consider hosting a virtual party where you can set games up even prizes, and share drinks, food and laughs.
Host a holiday watch party! Netflix party is an app extension that allows for this so you can watch movies with others and comment together, and everyone is synced at the same time!
Go for a drive and see one of the many Christmas light drive through experiences that will be happening all season long! https://www.blogto.com/radar/2020/11/toronto-drive-thru-winter-wonderland-light-tunnel/
